Training Day – 15th November 2019
10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
This training day is targeted at people who want to LEAD a tree planting scheme within their community. It aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to undertake this work with confidence.
The training day is in two parts. In the morning there will be practical information and tips on such topics as: Site Selection; Species Selection, Spacing, Protection and Maintenance with an emphasis on Community Involvement e.g. local schools.
The afternoon will be a practical session aimed at helping you to Organise your Volunteers and the practical aspects of Planting Trees.
The cost for the day is £10 per person. This includes a light lunch and refreshments. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for weather conditions.
