The motion proposed by Tessa Munt garnered cross party support with only four abstentions.  \u00a325k has been allocated to draw up proposals on how the Council&#8217;s services and activities can improve their environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referring to the IPCC Report published in October 2018 which identified that we have 12 years to avert climate catastrophe, Ms Munt said that &#8220;we need to take individual action, but every level of government should take action to change legislation. We&#8217;ve got to make low-carbon living easier to achieve and the new norm.
